Edible Wild Foods Walk: Join us for our series, EDIBLE WILD CoMo, where we explore the wild food growing around Boone County. Walks are held monthly at different locations in Boone County. This is a unique opportunity to explore the local trails and discover the diverse array of edible and medicinal plants that grow along it. This class is intended for beginner foragers and anyone who loves being out in nature.
Even if you’ve joined a walk here before, you’ll discover new plants and see familiar ones at different stages of growth.
What to Expect:
Guided Exploration: Walk down (approximately 1 mile or less ) a scenic trail with certified foraging instructors who will introduce you to the edible and medicinal plants growing in the wild.
Edible Identification: Learn how to identify various wild plants that are safe to eat and discover their nutritional benefits.
