Complete Cough Care Syrup Kit
This kit provides a natural and effective remedy for colds and coughs. To make the syrup, place all the herbs—elderberries, mullein leaf, marshmallow root, thyme, and ginger root—in a medium saucepan with 4 cups of water. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for 20 minutes, covered. Turn off the heat and allow to cool until you can comfortably handle it. Strain the herbs through cheesecloth, squeezing well to extract all the juice from the herbs. Make sure you strain through a fine piece of fabric or cheesecloth. Measure the remaining liquid and add an equal amount of honey. Pour the syrup into clean jars or bottles and store in the refrigerator for 2-3 months. Yield 2-5 cups.
